The ghau is a kind of portable altar in which the image of the chosen deity of the owner is kept, wrapped in silk clothes. The vast majority of Tibetans use the ghau at home and carry it during their travels. They keep it on a real altar at home. When traveling, it is hung on the back belt. The ghau serves as a protective symbol during travels and also allows its owner to prove his devotion to his deity.

This Ghau represents Jambhala in his 5 forms with the mantras dedicated to each form on the reverse.
Yellow shape:
Mantra: Om Jambhala Jalendraye Svaha
the most powerful of the gods of wealth, emanation of the Buddha Ratnasambhava
