THIS ARTISANAL SANDALWOOD MALA MADE BY US IS COMPOSED OF:
108 sandalwood beads from the collection, exceptional quality, known as "laoshan"
rare collector's sandalwood.

Indian sandalwood (S. album) is now very rare and therefore very expensive. Sandalwood from the Mysore region of South India is considered the best quality available. New plantations have been established with the help of the international community in Tamil Nadu. It is distinguished from other sandalwoods by its characteristic fragrance which persists over time, and the quality of its wood.

Representation of Buddha Amitabha in obsidian
Amitābha, Amitāyus or Amida, in Japanese阿弥陀, is a Buddha of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. He reigns over the "Western Pure Land of Bliss" (Sanskrit: Sukhāvatī, Chinese: Xīfāng jílè shìjiè, Japanese: saihō goraku sekai 西方極樂世界), a wonderful, pure, perfect world, free from evil and suffering.
