FILIGREE AND CLOISONNE SILVER TECHNIQUE:

The cloisonné technique, used with finesse for each pendant, is an ancient art that gives a unique beauty to each piece.
The craftsmen create compartments delimited by thin silver partitions, forming a complex network.

These compartments are then filled with enamels, providing a rich and vibrant palette of colours. The process requires precise mastery, with each layer of enamel carefully fired to ensure brilliance and durability.

The end result is a splendid pendant, a perfect fusion of cloisonné art and Qing Dynasty heritage, evoking timeless elegance and meticulous craftsmanship.

2- Composition of this Buddha pendant
Natural and guaranteed untreated labradorite from Madagascar and sculpted by a master stone sculptor, versed in Buddhist representations.
This representation of the bodhisattva Guan Yin in labradorite is a unique handcrafted piece not mass-produced by machines.

Labradorite is a gemstone belonging to the feldspar family. It is known for its unique optical phenomenon called labradorescence, which manifests as flashes of metallic colors in blue, green, yellow, and other hues when viewed from certain angles. Its hardness on the Mohs scale is 6 to 6.5, making it relatively durable for use in jewelry.
Labradorite is renowned for its protective properties. It is often used to strengthen the aura, block negative energies, and promote mental clarity. It is also considered a stone of transformation, helping to overcome fears and insecurities, and to enhance intuition and psychic abilities.
As a gemologist graduated from the National Institute of Gemmology (ING, Paris, France), all our stones are rigorously appraised and certified by us.

4- Who is the bodhisattva of compassion Guan Yin represented on this Buddha pendant?

Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara, also known as Guan Yin Guanyin or Kuan Yin, is a Buddhist deity worshipped primarily in China, but also in other parts of Asia. She is the bodhisattva of compassion and mercy. The name "Guan Yin" means "she who hears the cries of the world", reflecting her role as a protector and savior of beings in distress.

Guan Yin is often depicted in a female form, although in some traditions she can also appear in a male form. She is frequently depicted wearing white clothing, holding a vase containing pure water and a willow tree, symbols of purity and healing.

As a bodhisattva, Guan Yin vowed to renounce complete enlightenment until all sentient beings were freed from suffering, thus embodying the ideal of universal compassion in Buddhism.

Guan Yin is part of the triad of the three saints of the east with the Buddha Amitabha and the bodhisattva Mahasthamaprapta.
