Aries representing Garuda

Garuda, fabulous bird-man of Hindu and then Buddhist mythology, son of Kashyapa and Vinatâ and brother of Aruna, the charioteer of the god Sûrya. It is the vahana, or mount, of the god Vishnu. He is also considered the king of birds. In Tibet, Khyung (ཁྱུང) is the Tibetan name for the Garuda. Coming from India, it was assimilated to the khading of the Bon religion, the golden horned eagle. The black garuda is a deity of the Nyingmapa school of Tibetan Buddhism who is held to suppress ailments caused by naga and earth spirits. It is featured on the Lungta. GREEN TARA

Tara "the liberator", "the savior" and "the star" is the main deity of compassion in Mahayana and Vajrayana.

Grouped in the 10 Mahāvidyā, goddesses grouped under the name of Great Wisdom in Hinduism, she gained importance in Indian Buddhism from the sixth century, then in Java, Cambodia and finally in Tibet from the eighth century. century and especially in the 11th century with the arrival of Atisa.

She was first taken for an emanation of Avalokitesvara (Guan Yin), the Bodhisattva of great compassion, born of a lotus growing in a tear of the latter. She was then made identical to Prajnaparamita and will see just like her attributed the title of "mother of all the victors", popularized especially as "the savior" "the one who crosses to the other side".
