Feng Shui Talisman 4 Celestial Animals - Mammoth Ivory

This feng shui talisman is a rare and exceptional handcrafted piece, worthy of a large collection, sculpted by a great master of the arts on ivory and netsuke.

1- This feng Shui talisman was carved from mammoth ivory.
Ivory from the woolly mammoth (Mammuthus primigenius), a species of mammoth that lived in the Siberian region during the last ice age.
These mammoths became extinct about 10,000 years ago, but due to the preservation conditions in the Siberian permafrost, their tusks (or ivories) have often been preserved.
Mammoth ivory is a substance composed primarily of dentin, just like elephant ivory. Dentin is formed of hydroxyapatite crystals and collagen, which gives it its strength and solidity.
Mammoth ivory may also contain minerals and sediment from its fossil environment, sometimes giving it a distinct color or texture.

Due to its rarity and historical significance, mammoth ivory is used in the creation of high-end art objects and jewelry.

4- This Feng Shui talisman represents the “Four Celestial Animals” or “Four Celestial Guardians” in Chinese tradition and Feng Shui.
In Chinese, "四象" (Sì Xiàng), which literally means "four symbols".

These four mythical animals are the Green Dragon in the East, the White Tiger in the West, the Black Turtle in the North and the Vermillion Phoenix in the South. They are associated with the cardinal points, the seasons, the natural elements and the energies that influence our environment and our destiny.

In Chinese philosophy and the practice of Feng Shui, the cardinal points are of crucial importance, being intimately linked to the harmony and balance of the universe. Each direction is associated with natural elements, seasons and mythical creatures, embodying distinct energies that influence our environment and destiny.

Green Dragon - East - Wood Element - Spring

In the East, where the sun is born and the first flowers of spring bloom, sits the green dragon. Powerful and benevolent, this guardian symbolizes growth, vitality and prosperity. Its breath regenerates the earth and brings good luck and fortune to those who align with its energy.

To the north, in the cold and harsh lands, resides the Black Turtle. Ancient and wise, it embodies patience, perseverance and protection. Its strong back supports the weight of time and offers a safe haven from the storms of life.

Vermilion Phoenix - South - Fire element - Summer
In the South, where the sun shines brightly and the heat is palpable, soars the Vermilion Phoenix. A symbol of rebirth and transformation, this fiery bird spreads passion, creativity and success. Its flamboyant wings set hearts ablaze and breathe vibrant renewal into those who let themselves be guided by its light.

Middle - maintaining harmony - earth element

In the Feng Shui system, the Earth element occupies a central place, symbolically located at the heart of this cosmic quadrant. It plays a crucial role in the balance and harmony between the other elements. Thus, on this feng shui talisman, the Earth element is in the center, framed by the four other elements: the Dragon in the East (Wood), the Tiger in the West (Metal), the Turtle in the North (Water) and the Phoenix in the South (Fire).

Thus, by harmonizing the energies of the four cardinal points with our environment and our intention, we can create a balanced and nourishing space, conducive to flourishing and realizing our full potential. By connecting with the forces of nature and honoring the guardians of the directions, we can confidently navigate through the cycles of life, cultivating prosperity and happiness along the way.

Geomancy is an ancient practice of studying the influence of the environment on the lives of individuals and seeking harmony between natural forces and man. Feng Shui, in particular, focuses on the conscious arrangement of spaces to promote the flow of positive energy, called "Qi," and to create a balanced environment conducive to health, well-being, and prosperity.
