This phurba represents Buddha protected by the cobra Mucilinda king of the nagas
The Buddha Shakyamuni was meditating, in the sixth week after the Awakening, sitting under a tree, on the edge of a lake. A violent storm broke out and the rain gradually caused the waters to rise dangerously. The cobra Mucilinda, the king of the nagas, came out of the lake, coiled its coils under the body of the Buddha and spread its heptacephalic (seven-headed) hoods in a fan above him to protect him from the rain during the entire time the storm lasted. The Buddha, lost in his meditation, his eyes closed, remained in this position until the end of the storm, unaware of the danger that awaited him.

Finishing bead of this artisanal mala called Guru bead or Buddha head representing a dragon
This handcrafted dragon head is made of 92 silver, copper, agates called "nan hong" (southern red) from the Yunnan province in a closed setting in the eyes

In Buddhism, the dragon becomes the protector of the Dharma, the vehicle of Vairocana, the white Buddha seated in the east (or center). His throne supported by Dragons probably derives from the Chinese imperial throne. The turquoise Dragon is the mount of a large number of protective deities, treasure guardians and gods of rain and storms. As treasure guardians, the Sino-Tibetan Dragons are the counterparts of the Indian nagas. The Tibetan term druk (Tib.brug) means both "dragon" and "thunder". Bhutan, a Buddhist kingdom, is called Druk Yul (Land of the Dragon). Its inhabitants, the drukpas, take their name from the Drukpa Kagyu spiritual lineage, originating in Tibet. This lineage was established by the sage Tsangpa Gyare who, having one day observed nine dragons disappearing into the sky near Gyantse, decided to establish the monastery of Ralung. In Tibetan Buddhism, the ascent to heaven of a group of Dragons is an auspicious sign.

On each side of this handmade mala, we have integrated DZIS, or sacred Tibetan agates, powerful protection

On one side of this handmade mala, three-eyed DZI : intuition, wisdom and divinity

Three-eyed Dzis are sacred Tibetan beads that carry deep and symbolic meaning. These unique Dzis, adorned with three eye-shaped designs, represent concepts such as intuition, wisdom, and divinity.

represents the three stars of luck, happiness, honor and longevity. It is the manifesto of the Hindu god of wealth, Kubera. This 3-eyed pearl creates the favorable conditions to enjoy fortune, happiness and prosperity.

  1. Intuition and Clairvoyance The three eyes on the three-eyed Dzis symbolize intuition and clairvoyance. They represent the ability to see beyond appearances and gain a deep understanding of reality. These Dzis encourage the development of intuition and openness to higher consciousness, thus enabling one to make informed decisions and follow the most righteous path.

  2. Wisdom and Enlightenment The three-eyed Dzis are associated with wisdom and spiritual enlightenment. They represent transcendental knowledge and the awakening of consciousness. These sacred beads are a reminder of the quest for truth and the importance of seeking inner wisdom. They are considered spiritual guides to achieve a state of mental clarity and enlightenment.

  3. Divine Protection The three eyes on the three-eyed Dzis also symbolize divinity and divine protection. They represent the presence of benevolent deities who guide and protect their wearer. These Dzis are considered powerful amulets, offering protection against negative energies and harmful influences. They also strengthen the connection with higher spiritual forces.

  4. The Balance of the Three Realms The three eyes of the three-eyed Dzi are often interpreted as representing the balance between the three realms: the realm of the gods, the realm of humans, and the realm of demons. These Dzi symbolize the harmony between these different planes of existence and invite us to maintain balance in all aspects of life.

  5. The Use of Three-Eyed Dzis Three-eyed Dzis are worn as sacred talismans and objects of devotion in the Tibetan tradition. They are often incorporated into jewelry or religious objects such as necklaces, bracelets, or malas. Some Buddhist practitioners also use them in their meditation practices to cultivate wisdom and spiritual connection.

The three-eyed Dzis represent intuition, wisdom and divinity. Their three eyes symbolize clairvoyance, the search for inner wisdom and divine protection. These sacred Dzis are spiritual guides to achieve a state of enlightenment and harmony. They are worn with devotion and used as powerful amulets in the search for spiritual truth.

On the other side of this handmade mala, DZI of the dorje

The Dzi representing a dorje combines two important symbols of Tibetan spirituality, the Dzi and the dorje (or vajra), each carrying its own symbolism.

The dorje is an important symbol in Tibetan Buddhism. It represents the indestructible nature of the awakened mind. The dorje is also associated with the ritual scepter called the "vajra", used in Vajrayana rituals. The dorje symbolizes strength, stability and spiritual truth.

The combination of a Dzi representing a dorje is considered a powerful talisman that combines the protection and blessings of the Dzi with the spiritual qualities of the dorje. Symbol of spiritual strength, protection, and connection to the esoteric teachings of Tibetan Buddhism.

We have also made traditional round counters on this handmade mala.
Made of copper, the bell and the vajra are made of 925 silver
Malas often have two side counters called "mediators" or "wrist counters."

  1. Main Counter: It is used to count the complete cycles of reciting the mantra or prayers. Each time you reach the main bead, it indicates that you have completed a complete cycle.

  2. Secondary Counter: The secondary counter is placed on the other side of the mala, opposite the main counter. Is used to count the total number of complete cycles (tens of turns) made. Once you have reached a certain number of complete cycles, you can move a small bead or object onto the secondary counter.

A traditional pin has also been added to this handmade mala.
This mala pin is used to place it where the practitioner stopped to resume his practice later. It is composed of 925 silver , copper , turquoise and agate called "nan hong" (southern red).

Double Tibetan Dorje are also engraved on the two central parts of the pin. The two central parts rotate on both sides thanks to a high-precision ball bearing system.

The cord on which the beads are threaded should, theoretically, appear as a braid of several threads: three threads symbolize the "three Bodies" of a Buddha (Absolute Body, Body of Glory and Body of Emanation); five threads symbolize the "five wisdoms" or the "five families" of Buddhas (Buddha family, vajra family, jewel family, lotus family, activity family); nine threads symbolize the primordial Buddha Vajradhara and the eight great bodhisattvas .
